Change Orders

Paradime Construction, Inc. is a true custom home builder. In the design process we discuss how easy it is to make modification when all the ideas are on paper. After construction begins, modifications become more expensive. Phone calls, on-site visits, fuel, and time spent to modify even the simplest change can consume valuable resources.

Vast studies have been done in the construction industry to try and find out how much each type of change order can cost a construction company. All the indications point to some kind of 'administration fee' for each change order plus that actual cost of the change itself.

Paradime Construction, Inc. is very concerned with keeping the cost of building a home to a minimum. We have put in place systems that reduce the cost of building a home and even the cost of a change order. We communicate to our clients when some modifications become real expensive and try to make decisions before we get to that point.

We require that change orders are handled through email so paperwork is to a minimum and all change orders are tracked in our Statement of Account which shows the credits and debits during the construction process.

With the reduction in paperwork and the direct communication we are able to price each change order like we price each home - cost plus overhead and our 3-5% profit.
